At 60, Nora Aunor considers herself lucky to be still working with younger actors like Coco Martin and Julia Montes.

Aunor, Martin and Montes are all part of the upcoming movie “Padre de Familya” for director Adolf Alix Jr.

Aunor said not all veteran actresses are given the chance to collaborate with younger stars.

Masaya ako dahil siyempre kahit papano hanggang ngayon, hindi lang ‘yung mga kasing edad ko ‘yung nakakaeksena ko. Isang malaking karangalan na makasama siya,” she said.

In fact, Aunor admitted she never thought she will learn something from Martin.

‘Yung nangyari sa amin ni Coco, si Coco pa ang nagpayo sa akin. Mag-ipon daw ako ng pera para daw kapag kailangang-kailangan ko na, hindi daw ako mamomroblema. Kung sino pa ang bata siya pa ang nangaral sa akin,” she said.

Saying she admires Martin for being grounded, Aunor said: “Napakabait ni Coco. Napakamaaalalahanin. Professional siya bilang artista,” she said.

As for Montes, Aunor said: “Napakabait din ng batang ‘yun. Kaya dumami na ng dumami ang mga anak ko, hindi ko lang alam sino ang ama,” she said in jest.

Having been in showbiz for decades, the veteran actress said she finds joy in working with younger stars.

May kanya kanya silang istilo ng pag-arte. Magagaling sila lahat. Hindi ako pwede mamili,” she said.

“Padre de Familia” also features Anita Linda, Joel Torre, Rosanna Roces, Joem Bascon, Baron Geisler, Manuel Chua and Miles Ocampo. (MNS)
