Comedian Vice Ganda played down talk of a brewing rivalry existing between him and his friend, Kris Aquino.
This comes after the PMPC Star Awards for TV named Vice Ganda this year’s Best Celebrity Talk Show Host over Aquino. Moreover, both have entries in the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival.
Vice Ganda reiterated that Aquino is his good friend. “Kahit sinong manalo okay lang,” he said. “Masaya na naa-acknowledge ang trabaho, na maraming nakaka-appreciate.”
Aquino said she is happy for Vice Ganda and for her show, which bagged the Best Celebrity Talk Show award.
“Ako ‘yung nanalo last year, pero hindi nanalo ang [Kris TV]. O ngayon show ang nanalo pero si Vice ang nanalo, so congrats asawa. Take turns lang, that’s so nice. Share, share, share, hindi ba?” she said.
Meanwhile, Vice Ganda said he is still finishing his MMFF entry “Boy, Girl, Bakla, Tomboy.”
“Malapit na po matapos [ang movie], pinagtutulungan naming lahat nila direk Wenn (Deramas). Excited na ako for December kasi nakakatawa, makakapagpangiti, makakapagpahalakhak,” he said.
Because he has to finish his movie as soon as possible, Vice Ganda said he won’t be able to join any relief operations at the moment.
“Sana may chance pa kaya lang ang dami na kasing nakabinbin na trabaho. So far ‘yung na-donate naming P2 million, masaya ako. Hindi lang ako naghirap, ang daming artists na nagtulong-tulong at mga pribadong tao na pumunta sa event. Nakakatuwa,” he said.
Asked if he is pressured for his movie to dominate the box office, Vice Ganda said: “Hindi ko ine-entertain ang pressure. Nakatutok kami sa kung paano mame-maintain na yung mga pelikulang ginagawa namin, talagang ieenjoy ng mga manonood.”
“Boy, Girl, Bakla, Tomboy” also stars Maricel Soriano, Gabby Concepcion and Ruffa Gutierrez. (MNS)
