UPDATE ON THE SUSPENSION OF SECTIONS 5 AND 17 OF PRC RESOLUTION NO. 2012-668 ON THE PRACTICE OF FOREIGN PROFESSIONALS IN THE PHL
Los Angeles, 15 November 2012 – The Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles was informed that the Philippine Regulation Commission (PRC) issued Resolution No. 2012-673 suspending Sections 5 and 17 of Resolution No. 2012-668.
The suspensions deal with the provisions of PRC Resolution No. 2012-668 that increase the payment of processing fee and fee for the issuance of Special Temporary Permit (Section 5) and the need for liability insurance (Section 17).
With the suspension of Sections 5 and 17, all covered foreign health professionals for humanitarian missions in the Philippines will be required to pay only ONE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED FIFTY PESOS (PHP 1,250.00) as fee for each foreign health professional applying for a Special Temporary Permit to join humanitarian missions in the Philippines.
