Join the hundreds of supporters of FilAm ARTS for the eagerly-anticipated annual VIP Reception for FPAC (Festival of Philippine Arts & Culture) at 7pm on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at the Lexington Social House (1718 Vine St. in Los Angeles 90028).

The VIP Reception serves as the official kick-off for the 22nd Annual Festival of Philippine Arts & Culture (FPAC), the largest and longest-running showcase of its kind in Southern California.  The 2-day event includes live entertainment on two stages featuring comedian Rex Navarrete and the Filipino American Symphony Orchestra (FASO), along with hundreds more Asian entertainers, artists, food & business vendors, and an array of family fun activities.

“Our VIP Reception at Lexington Social House is a chance for our FilAm ARTS supporters to mingle with each other in a more intimate setting,” said Co-Director of Marketing Ed Mallillin.  “The reception is popular because so many of our FPAC artists & performers also attend, so fans can have one-on-one conversations with the artists they greatly admire.”

This year’s FPAC will be held on September 7-8 at Point Fermin Park in San Pedro, Los Angeles.  The festival is expected to unveil the newest FilAm ARTS program, The Saysay Project, which aims to engage community members to share their stories, and to document and preserve these stories for future generations.

FPAC is produced by FilAm ARTS – the Association for the Advancement of Filipino American Arts & Culture, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, and sponsored by the City of Los Angeles, LA County Arts Commission, California Arts Council, National Endowment for the Arts, California Community Foundation, Toyota, The Getty Foundation, LA-18, Mavshack, The Asian Journal, Weekend Balita, BakitWhy.com, Oishi Media, The James Irvine Foundation, Western Union, and LEAP, Inc.
