DAVAO CITY – The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) said Tuesday it is bent on locating religious group leader Apollo Quiboloy to serve his warrant of arrest.

In a press briefing here, Col. Richard Bad-ang, DCPO director, said they are doubling their efforts to serve the judicial warrant on the religious leader as well assist the Office of the Sergeant-at-Arms (OSAA) in the Senate in serving the contempt warrant.

“They (OSSA) were here yesterday (Monday) and we had a coordinating conference of various Intelligence and other law enforcement units,” he said.

On March 18, the Department of Justice filed a qualified human trafficking case before a Pasig City court against Quiboloy, the founder of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.

Bad-ang said out of the six susoects, only Quiboloy has not been located.

On March 19, he was ordered arrested and detained at the Senate.

“As of now, we cannot locate him and the intelligence community is dead serious in locating Quiboloy for us to implement the judicial warrant and contempt warrant,” Bad-ang said.

“They have properties and we are looking for the possible location where we can find him,” he added.

Bad-ang said they want to serve the warrant peacefully “without any bloodshed or [untoward incident].”

“Our mandate is to protect everybody and unharmed,” he said.

Bad-ang assured the police are prepared for all eventualities. (PNA)
