MANILA (Mabuhay) – “THE Sisters” lead actress Nadine Samonte is not keen in sharing too much information about her six-year relationship with businessman boyfriend Emerson Chua.

Though the identity of the guy is not new within showbiz circles because he’s constantly asked on the actress, Nadine said she still wants to keep the relationship very private.

“Private talaga ang lovelife ko kasi diba showbiz na nga ako and lagi na lang andiyan (available) lahat.”

The couple reportedly on the brink of a break-up last year but they talked things through and decided to give the relationship another shot.

According to Nadine, in a prior interview, there is no girl involved in the said misunderstanding and the reason is very personal to share in public.

She added last Tuesday night that she’s happier now and things are very much okay between him and Emerson.

The 23-year-old actress also said that it helps them to keep the relationship going because they come from two different worlds. She’s from showbiz while the guy is living a normal life.

“Mahirap din of course minsan kay Emerson kasi nakikita niya yung mga ka-love team ko, then sa akin din kasi showbiz ako. Pero nasanay na kami and okay naman na lahat. (At first it’s difficult for him because he constantly see me on tv with my love teams. But we got the hang of it).”

“Ang maganda naman talaga sa kanya eh he’s really so understanding. Iniintindi niya talaga yung trabaho ko. (The nice thing with him is he’s really understanding. He understands my job).”

The couple will be celebrating its sixth anniversary this August but the actress dismissed rumors they are tying the knot soon.

“Very early pa for me kasi ang focus ko din muna naman eh yung showbiz career ko, lalo na ngayong pinagkatiwalaan ako ng TV5 (It’s too early for me and my main focus right now is my showbiz career, especially TV5 gave me this big opportunity).”

Nadine will breathe life to two characters in “The Sisters,” which promises exciting twists and quality storyline.

“I’m happy sa project na ito kasi we’ll never know dahil ang daming artista sa showbiz at proud ako na nabigyan ako ng isang magandang kwento ng network.”

Don’t miss the premiere of her new show starting July 18 after “Bangis” on TV5’s Primetime Panalo.(MNS) ■
