MANILA (Mabuhay) – The Palace reminded the public that August 22, Friday, is not a holiday.

Communications Secretary Sonny Coloma said August 22 will be a regular working day. This means that there will be no “long weekend” this week.

The nation will commemorate Ninoy Aquino Day on August 21, Thursday, while National Heroes Day will be observed on August 25, Monday.

Ninoy Aquino Day is considered a special non-working day, while National Heroes Day is considered a regular holiday.

Coloma said the Aquino family will hold a simple gathering to commemorate the death of former senator and democracy icon Ninoy Aquino.  (MNS)
