Maegan Aguilar, the estranged daughter of Freddie Aguilar, said she can no longer forgive her dad after all the physical, mental and emotional abuse she allegedly suffered at the hands of the Pinoy music legend.
Maegan narrated how difficult it was for her to be the daughter of a rock star dad and a socialite mom, adding that she was “a manic depressive high school student” back then.
Nu’ng teenager na ‘ko, gusto nila kontrolin buhay ko e di ko naman sila kilala,” she said.
“I was a manic depressive high school student and I couldn’t tell my parents because they don’t want to hear it.
In an earlier interview with entertainment columnist Dolly Ann Carvajal which was published in Philippine Daily Inquirer, Maegan revealed her father threw her and her children out into the streets because of an incident involving “rotten vegetables.”
“He got mad because the vegetables that he kept in the refrigerator got rotten. I told him I did not touch the veggies because I knew he would get upset,” Maegan narrated.
Maegan also claimed that the “Anak” singer flared up one time because she hadn’t paid the P1,500 she borrowed from her dad.
“He also flared up because I hadn’t paid the P1,500 I borrowed from him. I used the money to buy diapers and milk for Mahi,” said Maegan.
Despite all the pain she claimed to have suffered, Megan said she did everything just to please her dad, even supporting the folk singer on his controversial new-found love, but to no avail.
Maegan previously accused Freddie’s wife of “poisoning his mind” so she would have control of the music legend’s money.
“I cannot even hate her.
Asked if she could still forgive her dad, Maegan said: “No, not this time. But thank you sa lahat ng tulong. Tay, thank you po sa lahat ng tinulong niyo sa akin dati, but this is the end.”
Meanwhile, in a statement Ka Freddie apologized to those who might have been offended by Maegan’s words and asked for prayers for his daughter.
God bless po sa inyong lahat,” said the “Anak” singer.
Earlier, Freddie denied Maegan’s allegations and said he only wishes the best for his daughter.
“I have been supporting my 35-year-old daughter and her family for many years now and have no intention of dragging her through the mud for entertainment’s sake,” he said.
“I wish Maegan all the best as she moves on and takes responsibility of her own life,” he added. “It is because I love my daughter that I choose to say nothing more on this matter.”(MNS)
