Jake just came home from a two-week vacation break abroad with his family. According to him, he is happy and well-rested and will be working again soon.
“Actually, I’m leaving next month at magta-taping na kami ng bago kong soap opera and more than anything, eh, na-enjoy ko tong time na nagpahinga,” he said in a television interview.
“My time off, eh, na-enjoy ko talaga. Sobrang sinulit ko na and kasama ko yung family ko. Sa daming magaganda bagay na nangyayari sa buhay ko ngayon there’s no reason to be depressed at all.”
Jake’s last projects were Star Cinema movie “In The Name of Love” opposite Angel Locsin and Aga Muhlach, and primetime series “Green Rose” with Anne Curtis and Jericho Rosales, both were aired this year.
The actor also went to Barcelona, Spain to tape the special episode of drama anthology “Maalaala Mo Kaya” for their 20th anniversary. The actor is thrilled and flattered that he was chosen by the network to star in the said episode.
Jake said he’s more focus now with work and does not want to commit to any romantic relationship soon.
“Wala akong dini-date. Marami pa akong dapat tuklasin at kilalanin sa sarili ko bago ako makipag relasyon ulit.”
He decided to keep mum when asked on ex-girlfriend Melissa Ricks but reiterated they are still very good friends.
“Ayoko ng magsalita kasi meron na kaming napagusapan ni Mel na kung ano man ang relationship namin noon at kung ano man ang pinagdadaanan namin ngayon, eh, sa amin na lang yun. We are friends and we are both moving on with life.” (MNS)
