Veteran actress Jaclyn Jose played down the reported rift between her and her daughter Andi Eigenmann.
Eigenmann confirmed in an interview last February that she and Jose still have a misunderstanding.
Although the “Galema” actress refused to give further details, showbiz observers believe that it has something to do with her relationship with Jake Ejercito, the son of former President Joseph Estrada.
Jose said it is just normal for a mother and daughter to have problems. This, however, does not mean that they no longer love each other, she stressed.
“Sa akin wala naman ‘yun. Binibigyan ko lang siya ng panahon, enough time for herself. Sa akin wala ‘yun. I will always love her. Hindi ibig sabihin na hindi kami nag-uusap that we hate each other. We just respect each other that we want to give time to each other,” she said.
In a previous interview, Eigenmann said she is just waiting for the right time to approach her mother to resolve their row.
“We are mother and daughter, that’s a bond that cannot be broken. We may have a misunderstanding, pwede kaming magkaroon ng ‘di pagkakasundo, pero kahit anong mangyari, siya ay nanay ko at mahal na mahal ko siya,” Eigenmann said.
“As a daughter, kailangan ako po ‘yung gagawa ng first move kasi bilang respeto sa aking ina. Pero let’s just wait for the right time,” she added. (MNS)
