Learn new and innovative ways to strengthen your parenting skills at this year’s Parent Empowerment Conference to be hosted by the City of Carson on February 26.
The conference is scheduled for 10 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Congresswoman Juanita Millender-McDonald Carson Community Center, located at 801 E. Carson Street.Â The conference is open to all parents and admission is free.
Carrying the theme “What Every Parent Should Know,” the conference is comprised of several workshop sessions designed to help parents enhance their parenting skills and address issues faced by today’s youth.Â Other important and timely topics that will be covered in the workshop include youth violence intervention and life skills after high school.
The Parent Empowerment Conference is an annual project of the City of Carson Human Relations Commission.
