MANILA, Feb 28 (Mabuhay) — The Philippine government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) on Thursday signed the first of four annexes to the framework agreement on the Bangsamoro.

Government and MILF negotiators signed the annex on transitional arrangements and modalities (TAM) of the framework agreement on Bangsamoro.

The signing of the annex came after the 36th round of formal exploratory talks in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, February 25-27.

The Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process said both sides also strengthened the terms of reference for the Independent Commission on Policing, which will send recommendations to the peace panels on the formation of a Bangsamoro police force.

Other issues still to be discussed by the peace panels are the annexes on wealth- and power-sharing and the possible formation of a third-party monitoring team to review, evaluate and monitor the implementation of the framework agreement. (MNS)
