“Wala pa akong naranasan na ganitong pakiramamdam.”
These were the words of Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero when asked about his girlfriend Heart Evangelista, adding that he had set a higher standard for a partner following his failed marriage.
“Lahat naman siguro ng may pinagdaanan, siyempre mas mataas ‘yung standard at ‘yung antas at ‘yung hinahanap mo. Nakamit naman at naabot ko naman ‘yun ngayon,” he said.
Escudero confirmed his annulment with former wife Christine Elizabeth Flores in 2012. He later on secured custody over their two children.
“May inaayos lang ako ng kaunti pa na gusot,” Escudero said of his plans to marry Evangelista.
Asked about how his children are handling their situation, the senator said: “Tita Heart ang tawag nila.
Escudero denied plans to run for president in the 2016 elections, when asked about the possibility of his girlfriend becoming the country’s First Lady.
“Ayaw kong sabayan ‘yung mga nagdeklara na. Mas gusto ko siyempre na maayos ‘yung personal kong buhay bago ‘yung pampubliko kong buhay,” he said.
Escudero also opened up about how he is currently enjoying his role as a father, and how it gives him an incomparable “high” whenever he hears his kids say, “I love Daddy.”
Asked to describe himself as a father, Escudero said: “Maasikaso. (MNS)
