Actress Bea Binene is as happy being a successful recording artist. Her debut album “Hey It’s Me, Bea!”  under PolyEast Records hit Platinum leading to a follow-up album.

Of course, nakaka-pressure din at nakakakaba.

Bea’s sophomore album – “Dito sa Puso Ko” – was released recently and is doing well, sales-wise. The 16-year old artist said the album excited her because she has something different to offer her fans and music lovers.

Bea added that the inclusion of fellow Kapuso artist Ken Chan in the album (they did duets of Ogie Alcasid’s “Bakit Ngayon Ka Lang” and  “Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal” and Ken did a version of The Boyfriends’ “Sumayaw, Sumunod”) excites her even more.

“Si Ken, pushed to the limit pag kumakanta yan. Napakabait niyang tao, gentleman. He really worked hard para maayos ang mga kanta niya.”

On his part, Ken said “Bea and I are very good friends. We had fun recording the album. Masaya namin ginawa dahil pareho kami ng gusto. Mahal ko siya bilang kaibigan at very thankful ako na ako ang pinili niya.”

Ken, who co-hosts Master Showman German Moreno’s ” Walang Tulugan” (he also appeared in “Tween Hearts” and other GMA 7 shows), added; “Doing this album, na-realize ko marami pa akong dapat matutunan sa pag kanta.

Will he have his own album? “When it’s the right time,” was his reply.

Among the 10 songs in “Dito sa Puso Ko” are “High School Life,” “Ang Tipo Kong Lalaki,” and the original composition “Asa Ka Pa,” which speaks of being young again, she said. (MNS)
