The Aurora Inter-Organizational Alliance-USA will hold its annual Christmas celebration on December 18, Saturday, starting at 4 p.m. at the house of Mr. Ed and Linda Querijero, in Cerritos, California.
The annual celebration, to be done in modest and simple get-together, will feature the traditional Filipino feast of pansit, dinuguan, kaldereta, chopsuey, and other native Filipino fare.
This year’s celebration is without pomp and pageantry and will just be a merry-making in deference to the financial crisis befalling Californians. It will just be a potluck of sort, but will feature singing and dancing, according to AIOA-USA President Dante Rubio.
Meanwhile, Rubio announced that the 3rd anniversary of the AIOA-USA was moved to February 19,2011 which coincides with the founding anniversary of Aurora Province. Already, plans are afoot for the twin celebration including the preparation for the annual souvenir program, the organization’s arm in boosting Aurora Province  as a prime tourist destination, as well as the awarding of certificates and plaques to outstanding parents and their children.
California-based immigrants from the municipalities of Baler, San Luis, Maria Aurora, Dingalan, Dipaculao, Dinalungan, Casiguran and Dilasag are hereby enjoined to grace the affair.
Aurorans are urged to get in touch with Treasurer Lucy-Gonzales-Entac (818-428-9906), Secretary Violy Feraren, (562-466-6403), Roland Protesta (562-691-2136) Dr. Belen Guerrero (626-749-5806), Robert Teh (818-331-7586), Primo Teh (323-728-8365), Letty
