COMEDIAN Ai-Ai delas Alas is starting the new year officially single after her divorce from husband of one-month, businessman Jed Salang was granted by the Las Vegas court.
The news was shared by the Kapamilya star via an Instagram post with caption: “100% single” and using hash tags “moving on” and “happiness.”
In the said post, Ai-ai also wrote, “Divorce decree now issued. I just checked the LV (Las Vegas) court website.”
One of the comedienne’s Instagram followers congratulated her for the dissolution of her marriage to Salang and wished her to find the right person.
Ai-ai, who previously said she’s taking a break from romance and will a lot time for herself and her kids, replied, “Pahinga muna. Next time.”
To recall, the Comedy Queen married 29-year-old Salang in a simple civil wedding ceremony at Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada last April 3, 2013. It was attended by Ai-Ai’s three children and ex-partner, Miguel Vera.
But the marriage didn’t last long after Ai-Ai announced on May 3 that she’s leaving Salang for good.
The actress disclosed in a television interview that she was physically abused by Jed and the latter made snide remarks about her Catholic faith.
She also confirmed there is a third party involved in their marriage and a friend of her ex-husband told her, even before their wedding in Las Vegas, that Jed is after her for her money.
“Sinabi na niya sa akin na papatulan lang ako ni Jed tapos later on, ayaw kong sabihin yung word, at pag nagawa na niya yun, iiwan na niya ako at may kakasamahin siyang iba,” Ai-ai said.
Ai-ai said she tried her best to live in a fairy tale by shrugging off bad moments in their relationship but said she can only bear so much.
(MNS)
