Actress Jodi Sta. Maria said she would still love to continue doing the hit daytime series “Be Careful With My Heart” should it be extended anew.
Sta. Maria said she considers the show a “blessing,” adding that she still enjoys playing the lead role of Maya even after two years.
“Oo naman,” she said. “Ang ‘Be Careful With My Heart’ ay blessing para sa aming lahat. It’s a very nice feeling na ma-bless ka at maging blessing sa ibang tao.”
Sta. Maria made the statement after a number of people criticized the extended run of “Be Careful With My Heart.”
Meanwhile, the actress said it is not up to her to decide until when the show will stay on air.
“Sa totoo lang hindi ko ‘yan masasagot at ang management ang makakasagot niyan. Pero kung gusto pa din ng tao manatili kami sa ere, bakit naman hindi?” she said.
Sta. Maria said she is just happy with what “Be Careful With My Heart” has achieved.
“Siyempre up to now hindi pa din kami makapaniwala na umabot ang ‘Be Careful With My Heart’ ng two years. Kasi nag-start lang kami na ang original plan ay three months o magpo-four months sa ere tapos ayan na, blessed kami ng maraming months sa ere,” she said.
Currently, Sta. Maria and the rest of the “Be Careful With My Heart” stars are gearing up for a thanksgiving concert this July 25 at Araneta Coliseum.
“Lahat po ng cast ng ‘Be Careful With My Heart’ ay nandoon po at magkakaroon ng ibang production number. Effort talaga ito, sana makapanood kayo at gusto kong sabihin na free admission po ito,” she said.
Aside from “Be Careful With My Heart,” Sta. Maria is also part of the upcoming horror film “Maria Leonora Teresa” with Iza Calzado and Zanjoe Marudo. (MNS)
