Presented by Asians for Miracle Marrow Matches (A3M)

on Sunday, October, 7, 2012 at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts

Vibrant, eclectic and truly original, the 2010 Grammy-nominated HIROSHIMA creates a musical world all its own featuring the luscious sound of June Kuramoto’s koto, the thunder of taiko, and the interwoven fabrics of Jazz, Japan, and Salsa and much more . . .

Dan Kuramoto offered his thoughts about the importance of Hiroshima’s appearance at the A3M Benefit Concert.  “Over a decade ago I saw an A3M appeal at a Little Tokyo Service Center event. It crystallized for me the reality that my registering is among the most important things I can do in my life – and so I did.  Today it becomes even more significant. Our A3M event at Cerritos allows all of us to make that difference” stated Kuramoto.

“Hiroshima is also honored to have Taiko Master Kenny Endo as our special guest and we will debut the full program from our new CD “Departure.”  Please join us in a celebration for life” Kuramoto continued.

About Asians for Miracle Marrow Matches (A3M)

A3M is a recruitment center for the Be The Match Registry operated by the National Marrow Donor Program. We are dedicated to serving African American, Asian and Pacific Islander, Hispanic, mixed race and other minority patients who suffer from leukemia and related blood illnesses that can potentially be cure by a bone marrow transplant.  For the past 21 years, A3M has been committed to saving lives.  Located in the heart of Los Angeles’ Little Tokyo community, A3M’s work impacts patients across the world. A3M’s mission is to help patients, by educating and recruiting potential donors, facilitating prompt access to a diverse and committed pool of donors, and providing culturally appropriate patient support services (CAPSS). A3M’s CAPSS program offers assistance to patients in need, during various stages of the disease.

The recent medical advances are making transplants available to more patients of all ages and ethnic communities, than ever before. A3M wishes to inspire people from our communities to help patients by joining the registry and staying committed to make miracles happen.

To support the recruitment activities and the CAPSS program A3M needs to raise funds annually.
